New York State will need between 20,000 and 50,000 additional public Level 2 chargers, between 35,000 and 80,000 additional Level 2 workplace-sited chargers, and between 1,000 and 4,000 additional direct current fast charger (DC Fast Charger) ports to support the ZEV MOU goals.


To reach these targets, Staff recommends establishing a statewide “Make-Ready Program” that would provide incentives for the installation of light-duty EV Infrastructure for both Level

2 and DC Fast Charger stations.

With 66% hydro, Brazil has one of the cleanest grid but when hydro fail there is mostly no alternative but diesel. Model of long transmission lines to transmit power from North to South will be challenged in coming years. There is a silver lining if Brazil can make its grid more flexible. Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) especially solar, storage will play key role. However, there are challenges in interconnecting, integrating and managing DERs.
