How Brazil can prepare for DER revolution?

Updated: Jul 10, 2019

With 66% hydro, Brazil has one of the cleanest grid but when hydro fail there is mostly no alternative but diesel. Model of long transmission lines to transmit power from North to South will be challenged in coming years. There is a silver lining if Brazil can make its grid more flexible. Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) especially solar, storage will play key role. However, there are challenges in interconnecting, integrating and managing DERs.

Vrinda's co-founder and COO Navneet Trivedi will be speaking at the Brazilian GD conference on August 23, 2019 in Campinas, Brazil on challenges and opportunity with DERs in Brazil.
